Journey

I decided to name this blog ‘Benlysta-Faith Journey’ because it really is all about faith, for me.  Faith, first and foremost in my Savior, Jesus Christ.  That God’s will is being worked out every moment of my life.  Lupus has been a tremendous way to show people that God provides strength enough for the day, no matter what you may go through.  It’s also faith that I’ve had to place in lots of other people.  My doctors, my husband, my daughters and my friends.  And finally, faith in a new drug for an old disease.

This is a turning point for me.  For better or for worse, that’s what this blog is all about.  I have FAITH that this JOURNEY is a way to witness the goodnes of God.  I hope you’ll come along.

You are at the beginning of your Benlysta treatments and I am one year farther down that journey of faith in God and Benlysta that we both travel. I will watch your progress with interest as you see the path unroll before you. My overall health is in a much better place after 14 months of infusions. In all of mine so far the only noteworthy side effect has been inexplicable fatique for a handful of days after each infusion. I had my October infusion yesterday.
